CADE EVANS
about CADE
Cade Evans was born in Thibodeaux and raised in Houma, Louisiana. He has been practicing law for more than twenty-five (25) years with a primary focus on personal injury, commercial litigation and business transactions and acquisitions.
Cade received his undergraduate degree in 1993 from Louisiana State University, before earning his law degree from LSU in 1996. After law school, Cade planted his roots in Lafayette, and he is proud to call the Acadiana area his home.
After practicing as a partner with Allen & Gooch for many years, Cade joined forces with David Benoit in 2022 to collaborate and co-found what is now Benoit & Evans. Cade and David have known each other for many years, first becoming acquainted while representing parties adverse to one another. Their mutual admiration grew over the years, and they ultimately decided that their diverse backgrounds and experiences could profoundly complement one another.
Cade has three (3) children, all of whom are now young adults. Both of his sons currently attend Louisiana State University, and his daughter, an LSU alumnus, is engaged to be married soon and is employed by The National Wildlife Federation.
A passion for service is a common theme in the Evans family. Cade's commitment to community service is deeply rooted in his family's legacy of education, exemplified by his mother, Loretta, who has inspired him throughout his life. His extensive involvement with organizations such as Catholic Charities and the Lafayette Education Foundation showcases his dedication to fostering positive change and supporting those in need. As a current financial backer of the 24-Hour Citizen Project, Cade is not only investing in innovative community initiatives but also demonstrating his belief in the power of collective action to uplift others. With a heart for service and a vision for a brighter future, Cade embodies the spirit of community engagement, inspiring others to follow in his footsteps and contribute to the greater good.
Cade enjoys traveling, playing music and outdoor activities like hiking and snowboarding. He also spends his time keeping up with current events and completing his daily crossword puzzle. Cade is also an avid tennis player, but whatever you do, do not ask him to play pickle ball!
Cade has always had a fondness for Breaux Bridge as it reminds him of his upbringing in Thibodeaux and Houma. Occasionally on the weekends you can catch him paddleboarding down Bayou Teche, another of his many hobbies. Cade looks forward to a long future practicing law and advocating for the people of Breaux Bridge and the surrounding communities.
